Ok, Ok, Fajitas are not 100% Mexican, I would say it is more Tex-Mex but any way, here is the recipe for the basic Fajitas
-
Cut the chicken in thin stripes, the thinner they are, the better they will absorb the marinade. Put the stripes in a large bowl.
-
Mix the maggi sauce, worsetershire, salt, pepper and squeeze the garlic to make the marinade; add to the chicken stripes and let it rest for at least 1/2 hour (the longer time, the better)
-
Cut the onion and bell peppers in julienne (1/8"X1/8"x1-2")
-
Heat up a frying pan or skillet, when very hot, add 1 tbsp of vegetable oil, wait 10-15 secunds for the oil to heat up too. Put onion and bell pepper and sautee for 1-2 minutes until the onion starts getting translucid.
-
Add the chicken and cook for 5 to 8 minutes or until the chicken gets fully cooked stir every 2-3 minutes.
-
BEST STEP!!! While the pan/skillet is still hot, pour 1/4 cup of beer (be carefull, might flame) cook 1 more minute, drink the rest of the beer and READY
SERVE AND ENJOY
